Bop Bop Mini Zine Fair｜Interwoven Mycelium: Fungi, Lantau Ecology, and Artistic Imaginations

1/2

Artist duo Zheng Mahler have been researching fungi on Lantau Island with the mycologist Dr. Alvin Ming-chak Tang and will be visiting Seek Seed to share their latest publication The Twenty-Three Thousand Sexes of Schizophyllum Commune and Other Stories (2026).

From the mycelial networks beneath Lantau's soil, how do the artists use these hidden fungal connections to reimagine the symbiotic relationship between human and non-human lives?
