Smells Like Home: Ceramics Incense Holder Workshop with Wild Clay

Led by a local Peng Chau resident, participants open their senses as they stroll around the island, collecting local soil to knead into clay and shape their own scent vessels, so they can bring home the island’s memories held in its earth.

– Long fingernails or gel-nails can leave accidental gouges in the clay and make hand-building difficult. To protect your artwork (and your manicure), it is highly recommended to trim your nails shortly before the workshop.
– Please tie back long hair for ease during the ceramic workshop.
– Clay washes out easily! Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting a little muddy. Aprons can be provided as needed.
– Please wear sunscreen and mosquito repellent for the walking journey on Peng Chau and the garden session.
