Inner Hearing of Island

‘Inner Hearing of Island' is an auditory enhancement roving installation in Mui Wo during the festival. Public can experience the pre-recorded environmental sounds of non-human islanders, such as plant, river, and animals, listening to their daily lives. The installation changes the island journey perspective from visual, which general public are familiar with, to hearing, which islanders experience especially at night. Apart from the recordings, a real-time auditory enhancement device will be provided for public to “see” the island with the magnified surrounding sounds, enabling them to share the islanders’ daily experience.
